Fifth Sergeant George Washington Gaddy of Company A, 38th Georgia Infantry, father of at least 5 children, was killed at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862. His heavily tinted photograph was contributed to his Findagrave memorial by Jonathan and Valerie Proffitt.
