Four days after his 21st birthday, Private Samuel R Zebley of the 124th Pennsylvania Infantry was killed at Antietam. His internment back home in Wilmington, DE was reported by the Blue Hen’s Chicken and Commonwealth of 1 October 1862, seen above.
